Holds a PhD in Geology, working as a researcher at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, Portugal. Focused on measuring, quantifying, and modeling the spatial distribution of physical processes related to climate extremes based on geological proxies. In addition, has been working on biophysical characterization using remote sensing, such as multispectral imaging and LiDAR. Has experience in air pollution/deposition monitoring and modeling, model evaluation, big-data mining, and processing. Integrates the scientific support team to the Portuguese environmental agency in the implementation of Art. 9 of the NEC Directive (2016/2284).
