Kate Buckeridge is a senior researcher and soil microbiologist at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology in Luxembourg, since 2021. She obtained her Ph.D. in ecosystem ecology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada in 2009. Her research investigates how soil microbial ecophysiology influences soil and ecosystem carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus cycling, in forest, tundra, and agroecosystems. She is particularly interested in how microbial community traits and process rates respond to, and feedback to, climate and land use disturbances.
